Embedded Software Engineer(MCU)

Vizmonet is currently seeking an Application Software Engineer with extensive experience in Firmware/Embedded Software development. The candidate will be responsible for development, coding and testing of firmware and driver integration in embedded radio modules. The candidate will have strong understanding of various MCU architecture including ARM and MIPS. This position needs autonomous, self-motivated and team oriented individual with the ability to produce the deliverables independently with no immediate supervision.

Job Profile and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Firmware/Embedded Software development
  • Design, code and integrate software for embedded Platforms
  • Customization, deployment and maintenance of Firmware on different hardware platforms
  • Involve in continuous improvement and maintenance
  • Involve in testing, debugging and engineering validation activities
  • Co-ordinate on user documentation
  • Co-ordinate the transfer to production

Qualification and Skill set Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5 Years of work experience in developing embedded firmware in C/C++
  • Strong understanding of Micro controller technologies and supporting firmware development
  • Hands on experience in RTOS, Embedded development environments and board support packages is a must
  • Work experience in cross compiling and porting of software codes over different micro controller platforms
  • Ability to write effective and reusable code according to best practices
  • Hands on experience in Wireless communication technologies such as 6LoWPAN, LoRa, WiSUN is highly preferable
  • Knowledge of hardware and low-level development is an asset
  • Exposure to Software development methodology like Agile is an asset
